I went to Tavern at Medlock three times and the food was good. I want to own a bar and I asked Larissa, the bartender, some questions about owning a bar. She answered my questions and I asked who the owners were and she told me their names. I was on my lunch break, so I didn't have time to talk to them when I was finished eating.

The food is consistently great. The best Reuben around and great fresh cut fries. Their onion rings are really good too. Service is excellent! You won't be disappointed.

Good food and friendly staff. Tons of screens and a HUGE screen with sports. Nice bar with a great bartender!

Read! Read! Read! Food was OK! Flavor was bland and I literally had to season everything myself. Service was terrible with the exception of the management who I would have preferred to the waitress for table service. Read a review that said affordable before I went. $51. And change later. I do not agree, especially for what we ordered. Fish and chips, Nachos and 4 beers. Then when I was ready to depart the establishment, I had to walk around and find someone who would take my money. Had I been someone without morals I may have just walked straight out the door. I'm sure I would have had plenty of time and they would not have noticed for awhile, that is just how small of amount of personal one on one service they had tonight. Thanks Tavern at Medlock I will NOT be back! More then that thanks for ruining what should have been a great night!

I went back today to talk to the owners about owning a bar and Larissa said they just left about 5 minutes before I walked in. I'll admit I should've called first.

I've gotten several large Pizza Orders from here, and the pizza and service are always great. The owners have always made my order happen, even last minute on a Friday night. Great People and Food.

Anyway, when I told Larissa I wanted to own a bar, she asked me do I have any bar experience and I said no. Then she said there's a lot that goes into owning a bar and I shouldn't do it. Like I should be scared of that? Like I'm going to fail if I own a bar? That was the impression I got.

At first Larissa was cool, but, when she turned into a naysayer by saying I shouldn't own a bar, that hurt a little. I stay away from naysayers and haters. Although the food was ok, I won't be back to Tavern.

I defended myself by saying there are books on owning a bar and that's a good start, plus talking to some bar owners about owning a bar helps, too. As a footnote, you should read one book a month on your craft/industry to stay on top of your game.
